KARE is an 8-person financial services firm based in New York. Admira, founder and head strategist has been a client for over 5 years now. Along the years we supported her by establishing the brand, website, messaging and positioning. So we know how important it’s always been to balance out team & culture with growth and delivering exquisite work to aligned clients. 

That’s why when we heard that something is not quite as smooth on the conversion part of the sales cycle, we knew something was upsetting that delicate balance between building a supportive team culture and growing the business.

Something wasn’t adding up. Client acquisition had slowed. The pipeline, though healthy, was not converting. Energy was a bit heavy; sales, inconsistent. In our diagnostic call, she said she’d been at it for 6 months trying to fix it with another coach.

It looked like a sales problem. It wasn’t

With KARE operations growing, there have been attempts to bring in a partner and that diluted some of the values that Admira always worked very hard to instil. 

Boundaries got blurred. Work got hoarded. And something that hadn’t happened before: bottlenecks started forming. 

So much so that even when the partnership ended, the behaviour lingered within the culture. Doubts, frustration, uncertainty followed. Confidence in sales conversations dropped.

And as always when focus is unclear, sales follow.

For our first session, we identified the psychological hesitation behind the sales conversations as well as the psychology of the prospects’ hesitation. Next we explained how that internal misalignment was putting a strain on the business overall.

From that place of understanding what is the root problem, we asked the question “what do you want to do?”, because in our work we always know that awareness leads to choice and choice leads to an intentional commitment that has the power to move mountains.

And we were right: within a week, she signed 2 ideal clients.

Restoring structure

With stability and breathing room back on track, we returned to the sales process we had built together the year before. No more new shiny tactics, now it was about executing what already worked and following a sales process that was now in full alignment. 

Then we clarified vision:

🔶 Admira was clear she did not want aggressive growth at the expense of culture, client quality, or wellbeing. With that in mind we set aligned goals and KPIs.

🔶 The team was restructured, with clear accountability and boundaries around roles. 

🔶 One misaligned team member exited. 

🔶 Two new hires joined. 

🔶 We added new processes for regular feedback and check points for client delivery, so that clients can stay reassured and the team can see the great contribution they make on a consistent basis

As her leadership identity evolved, Admira recognised she wanted to lean further into strategic advisory. We helped her define, position and get intentional about selling her expertise as a distinct service alongside financial operations.

Alongside we also built case study assets that made KARE’s value visible, both externally for prospects and internally for the team.
